Keanu Reeves’ in Films featuring the Christmas holiday season!

I realize that most of you are familiar with a significant number of films within Keanu Reeves' expansive repertoire. And for any of you who are not, I certainly am, for Keanu Reeves is my very endearing Muse. This week, I shall be mentioning three films of my Muse, Keanu Reeves, which have featured the Christmas season within them.

The first film, filled with oodles of teeny-bopper’ fun, is the joyous Christmas fantasy classic, “Babes in Toyland”. It even had a cute “Alice in Wonderland” mixed with Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz” type of time travel from reality to the “toyland” fantasy land. This is why Keanu Reeves portrays two adorable characters, “Jack Fenton” of the real world and “Jack-be-Nimble” of “toyland”. And, of course, this is the only time that Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore have co-starred in a film together. Please feel free to watch this enjoyable film this Christmas season, featuring my Muse, Keanu, as an absolutely adorable young gentleman. That’s in case any of you have ever forgotten. Just a little humor here.

The next film I shall mention is “Sweet November”. I do admit that it is not one of my favorites. Now, this has nothing to do with my Muse, Keanu Reeves. It only has to do with my perspective concerning the “Sara Deever” character. I disliked her so much because she should have let Keanu’s “Nelson Moss” character go on his way, early on, before he fell hopelessly in love. It was such a thoughtlessly cruel thing to do, when she knew she was terminally ill, (and by her own volition, at that). I must say that, knowing that I was on my way to meet my beautiful creator, I would not want to have done something so treacherous to the man I was in love with. And I stress being ‘in love’ over simply loving someone. For, they are quite dissimilar.

What boggles the mind, is that he actually believed that she loved him. All I know is that, if this was a real-life situation, I would hate to see a man like that years down the road with another woman. When he finally came to the realization of how he had been harmed, there’s no telling how he would treat his future loved one. Yet, I will say that the mini-Christmas celebration’ portion was rather bittersweet and touching; which I attribute only to Keanu Reeves’ character. So, please feel free to watch this poignant film, for any who may be interested.

And finally, there is the eclectic sci-fi film, “Replicas”. Unfortunately, it was not well-received by critics once it was released in January of 2019. Yet, "Replicas" does have entertainment value; for anyone who may find films with eclectic elements intermingled within, interesting to watch. I found it both intriguing and bittersweet when one of the tragic elements of this film echoed one of my Muse, Keanu’s, own real-life tragedies. It also contained one scene which echoed a “Johnny Mnemonic” scene, as well—which was good for nostalgic purposes. And it was amazing to witness that it took the tragedy of Keanu’s “Will Foster” character losing his entire family in a horrific car accident to make him realize just how much he loved and valued them.

He even defied all the natural laws of nature and science to clone his family members. Now, due to my own moral compass and religious beliefs, I do not subscribe to, nor approve of, cloning in any way. However, this film reminds one of the ensuing moral debate of cloning during this fascinating Millennium era in which we are living today. “Replicas” also had relatively brief, but warmhearted familial Christmas celebratory moments that I enjoyed; with Foster’ seeking a daring rescue of his most cherished family, immediately afterwards. So, on that loving note, please feel free to watch this film, for any of you who may be interested in doing so.
